How to install osCommerce :-

osCommerce can be easily installed via Fantastico with Hostgater. First of all install Fantastico application and then continue with following steps-

#1. From the heading E-commerce select osCommerce link which will take you to osCommerce installation screen.

#2. Scroll down the page and click on new installation. It will show you a form and you have to fill it with proper value.

#3. In installation directory give the path of the location you want to install or leave it blank if you want to install it at root.

#4. In admin access data you can enter admin user name and password.

#5. In base configuration enter shop name, owner name, Email sender address ans rest others are optional so no need to fill those.

#6. Now click the finish button and you are done.

#7. click on the link above to login to your new installation. Now login using the admin username and password you assigned during  installation.

#8. Here you can find your new installation under current installation. From here you can visit your store.
