OpenOffice : OpenOffice is an open-source alternative to Microsoft Office and other similar software suites. This software is free to download and use. It contains programs like word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common operating systems.

Speaking of Microsoft Project, OpenProj does everything that Project does. It also adds a few tricks Project hasn’t learned: it works on Windows, Mac, Unix and Linux. And it’s completely free.
